To date in 2005, more than 258 million media impressions have been generated
through PBH public relations efforts, valued at $35 million.
Consumers who are aware of the Color Way program are 3 times more likely
to eat their recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables – and

PBH works to motivate key consumer influencers with education tools focused
on fostering healthy eating habits that include fruits and vegetables.
In 2004, with support from the California Department
of Health Services, two 30-second public service announcements concerning
the impact of fruits and
vegetables in fighting obesity were created. Each 30-second spot ran
as part of California’s 5 A Day annual paid television schedule
and as national public service announcements through PBH.
Each year, PBH reaches nearly 100,000 educators
and health professionals with Color Way campaign materials for use in
their own educational efforts.
The “Eat Your Colors Every Day Salad Bar and Salad Options Project” in
Florida Schools generated an increase in fruit and vegetable consumption
ranging from 9% -31% in the schools studied.
In 2004, fruit and vegetable mentions on the nation’s top 200 restaurant
menus increased 42% and 30% respectively from the prior year.
