Consumption Statistics There’s room for improvement on America’s plate
Our
personal behavior can have a tremendous impact on our health, by either
prematurely contributing to or by postponing illness (morbidity, in government-speak)
and death (aka mortality). The federal government sponsors consumer behavior
surveys to help state health agencies effectively target resources to
promote their residents’ better health. This research includes gathering information
on consumers’ fruit and vegetable eating habits – which indicate
there is still lots of room for improvement.
