Zeaxanthin, one of the carotenoids with antioxidant
power, is often linked with lutein, since both are deposited in the macular region of the eye.
Zeaxanthin may help to prevent macular degeneration and certain types of
cancer.
Food sources of zeaxanthin include green leafy vegetables and yellow/orange fruits and vegetables such as:
spinach
kale
collard greens
corn
tangerines
nectarines
